When Talent Knows No Borders
In a kitchen, in a dining room or at a hotel reception desk, you can often hear a variety of accents. People from different places, with different stories, working side by side with a shared goal: to be the best hosts in the city of Toledo.
That is how we understand work at RESTOLEDO. Hospitality and tourism are unique environments where people constantly connect and collaborate. In the end, what truly matters is attitude, teamwork, the willingness to learn and the desire to make every guest feel welcome.
On February 26, we had the opportunity to take part in the VII Business Forum of the Red Cross Employment Plan in Toledo, a gathering that brings together companies and organizations committed to creating more inclusive employment opportunities.
During the event, RESTOLEDO received recognition within the “Contrata Sin” campaign, in the category “Without denomination of origin.” It is an honour for us, but above all it reflects something we experience naturally in our daily work: talent has no origin, no accent and no passport.
We strongly believe that hospitality and tourism have a powerful ability to create real opportunities. For many people, these sectors represent a gateway into the labour market, a first job in a new country, or a chance to start again. And when that happens, the impact goes far beyond the job itself.
Along this journey, the Red Cross has been an essential partner. Through its Employment Plan, it supports people with training, guidance and access to the labour market, while also helping companies recognise potential where others may only see obstacles.
Thanks to this collaboration, many people have found their place within our teams and have helped make them stronger and more diverse.
That is why this recognition does not belong only to RESTOLEDO as a company. It belongs to every person who is part of our teams and who, day after day, helps create workplaces that are open, welcoming and diverse simply by working together.
Because at the end of the day, what matters most is not where you come from, but what you can bring when someone gives you the opportunity.
